WOMEN BEHIND THE KAPLAN THALER GROUP RELEASE AUTOMATIC NATIONAL BESTSELLER:
THE POWER OF NICE
SYRACUSE, N.Y., March 28, 2017— The business world today is portrayed as a dog-eat-dog world, but Linda Kaplan Thaler and Robin Koval disagree with that business mentality. Kaplan Thaler and Koval say that nice guys can finish first in their national bestselling book, The Power of Nice: How to Conquer the Business World with Kindness (2006).
Co-authors Linda and Robin confirm that “‘nice’ companies have lower employee turnover, lower recruitment costs, and higher productivity. Nice people live longer, are healthier, and make more money. In today’s interconnected world, companies and people with a reputation for cooperation and fair play forge the kind of relationships that lead to bigger and better opportunities, both in business and in life.”
The Power of Nice provides real-life anecdotes and stories exploring the benefits of being a nicer person in both one’s personal life and professional life. This book includes a forward by Jay Leno, who shares just how well nice has worked for him as a past late-night talk show host. Readers learn the power principles of nice along with specific tools and fun challenges to help make the “nice” work for them in every situation. Audiences will love the feel-good stories spread throughout as well as the “nice cubes” found at the end of each chapter encouraging readers to do things like engage someone new in the office in conversation (and much more!).
Linda Kaplan Thaler is an educational, inspirational, and entertaining motivational speaker that draws on her background as former Chairman of Publicis Kaplan Thaler and founder, former President, and former CEO of The Kaplan Thaler Group. Her extensive background in advertising is apparent in her award-winning campaigns and jingles for clients ranging from Aflac’s duck commercials to Toy’s ‘R’ Us’ “I Don’t Wanna Grow Up,” and Kodak’s “Kodak Moments.”
Robin Koval is currently the CEO and President of Truth Initiative, a national health organization encouraging young adults to steer clear from tobacco usage. She is a co-founder and former President of The Kaplan Thaler Group. Together with business partner Linda Kaplan Thaler, Koval has also co-authored Grit to Great: How Perseverance, Passion, and Pluck Take You from Ordinary to Extraordinary; The Power of Small: Why Little Things Make All the Difference; and Bang!: Getting Your Message Heard in a Noisy World.
The Kaplan Thaler Group was founded in 1997 by Linda Kaplan Thaler and Robin Koval. Together, both women grew their company from a start-up agency to a billion-dollar agency responsible for clients including: Procter & Gamble, Pfizer, Aflac, and Wendy’s, to name a few. The Kaplan Thaler Group was integrated into parent agency Publicis to become Publicis Kaplan Thaler, New York’s fifth largest advertising agency, in 2012. In 2016, Publicis dropped the Kaplan Thaler moniker from its name.
The Power of Nice: How to Conquer the Business World with Kindness is available in hardcover, and as an e-book through Amazon.com starting at $4.99. Share your own nice stories with the nice community at www.thepowerofnice.com.
